We provide thorough on-site examination of artworks by a qualified Art Conservator and rigorous documentation of current condition. Our reports include written condition assessment and high-resolution photographs documenting condition, any visible damages or flaws, and recommendations for safe transport and exhibition.
Accurate condition documents are critical for establishing baseline condition of artworks before loans or purchase. These records protect the client should future changes occur and may be required by insurers or borrowing institutions on high-value artworks. PAC regularly works with clients to document condition both before and after outgoing loans.
We also recommend routine examination/documentation, particularly of susceptible modern materials, to aid in identification of problematic material deterioration in time to take preventative action. During routine surveys we also assess and note environmental issues or other factors which may jeopardize the artwork's safety.
We work with an extensive network of Art Handlers, Framers, Shippers, Mount-makers, and other art service providers throughout the Rocky Mountain region. If you need additional services we are happy to connect you to high-quality art professionals in your area.
