Our primary concern is the well-being of the artwork... we see the conservator as an advocate for the art and the artist's intent. We will recommend the best treatment, exhibition, storage, and transport options that are practical given real-world variables like budget, timeline, and staffing. We work in a collaborative manner with all stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome in each unique situation.
We can design treatment plans to meet the unique needs of your artwork and collection, including treatment location. We offer mobile conservation services for certain types of treatments (though not all materials or techniques can be safely used onsite).
A thorough assessment of both object(s) and location are required before these services can be scheduled, but many high-value, difficult to transport, or otherwise sensitive objects have been treated in situ' with excellent results. We also offer onsite collection and environmental risk assessments.
