Private Clients

Serving Collectors Large and Small

Whether you wish to preserve a single cherished family heirloom or a world-class private art collection, we treat every object with the same museum-quality treatment methods and meticulous attention.  After treatment concludes the client is provided with information about follow-up care, maintenance, storage, and handling recommendations.  We also maintain treatment records in perpetuity, so if documentation is needed at a later date we can provide any records needed for ongoing preservation.

Type of Artworks Treated

We specialize in:

  • Gilded and polychromed wood
  • Ethnographic artifacts
  • Basketry and plant fibers
  • Organics (fur, feather, skin, bone)
  • Ceramics
  • Modern materials and plastics
  • Decorative metals
  • Architectural models
  • Composite textiles
  • Mixed media
  • Composite Objects: From gilded leather to gumballs encased in polyester resin - we can tackle what ever kind of unique object you have.

Onsite or In-Studio

We typically conduct an on-site preliminary examination before making any treatment recommendations and this step must be completed before an official treatment proposal is generated.

For extremely high-value or difficult to transport objects PAC can also bring the conservation treatment to you.  This may not be an option in all situations (since some chemicals or equipment cannot be safely used in a residential environment) but if it is possible, we are very experienced with on-site treatment.  Please discuss your needs with our conservation staff.
